How different definitions of experience shape product perspectives
Recently, I published an article on UX Collective discussing the philosophical meaning of “experience” and how it impacts the way we interpret the UX of our products.
As an example, I explored theoretical elements like Phenomenology, Hermeneutics, and Postmodernism. This blend of philosophy, technology, and UX is invaluable for understanding and improving the way we think about our users.

You might understand “experience” as the mere interaction between user and machine, the broader consequences of that interaction, or even as something larger, where your design is just a fragment of a greater whole. All these perspectives can be valid.

There is also a Portuguese translation of the article published on UX Collective Brasil:
With over 500,000 followers on Medium, The UX Collective (ISSN: 2766-5267) is an independent design publication and blog built to help designers think more critically about their work.
